Golden Rainbow – 33rd Ribbon of Life Summer of Love

Today, founder and co-founder of Equality Nevada, Chris Davin and Trevor Harder were invited to attend the annual Ribbon of Life which is the primary fundraiser for local non profit, Golden Rainbow which is one of the most prominent and successful organizations that provides housing and services for those living with HIV/AIDS in Las Vegas. Ribbon Life 2019 was held at the Legends in Concert Theater at the Tropicana hotel and each year achieves the remarkable feat of staging a unique one of a kind show featuring the best artists and performers from the most popular shows on the Strip. Hundreds of attendees enjoyed the brilliant show which celebrated the music and memories of Woodstock and the Summer of Love. Along with the money raised from ticket sales, attendees bid on silent auction items including show tickets, stay-cations, dinner packages, jewelry and pieces of art. All proceeds will help support and bring much needed services to the many living with HIV/AIDS, even though those afflicted with HIV/AIDS are living longer lives with the introduction of protease inhibitors, many are in need of services to assist them in daily life.

Equality Nevada looks forward to partnering with Golden Rainbow to bring support and awareness to those living with HIV/AIDS and erasing the stigma associated with HIV/AIDS. Much progress has been accomplished in achieving this goal but much work remains to be done as Golden Rainbow strives to make a difference in the lives of those living with HIV/AIDS. Equality Nevada stands with Golden Rainbow as a community partner in the fight against AIDS. This organization led by Gary Costa is making an invaluable difference in the lives of so many.
