The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) works to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties of all members of our population, including those who have traditionally been denied their rights, including people of color; women; lesbians, gay men, bisexuals and transgender people; prisoners; and people with disabilities.

The Progressive Leadership Alliance of Nevada (PLAN) is a non-profit organization formed in 1994 to bring people and organizations together to build a better Nevada. They represent more than two-dozen groups dedicated to working for social, economic, and environmental justice. Our member groups include anti-poverty activists, people of color, children’s advocates, disabled persons, environmentalists, lesbians and gay men, and labor unions.

The National Organization for Women (NOW) strives to eliminate discrimination and harassment in the work place, schools, the justice system, and all other sectors of society; secure reproductive rights for all women; end all forms of violence against women; eradicate racism, sexism and homophobia, promote equality and justice in our society.

The Nevada Women’s Lobby is a statewide, non-partisan coalition of organizations, and individual women and men who work on issues affecting women and families. We were founded in 1988 to improve the status of women and families by lobbying public officials and law makers.
